It is with great sadness that I must pass on the tragic news that Jazmin unexpectedly died on the morning of Sunday 30th November 2008. Consequently all fundraising will cease, at a time when the target had nearly been reached. For those that wish for any donations to be returned, please contact us via the website with proof of donation.
Any residual funds remaining on 15 December 2008, will be put towards funeral costs and the remainder will be donated to the Eagle Appeal. This appeal was set up in January 2003 by a small group of volunteers to provide specialist equipment and sensory environments to enhance and enrich the lives of children like Jazmin with very special needs aged 2 – 19 years with severe, profound and multiple learning difficulties who attend Rachel Madocks School in Cowplain, Waterlooville.
This is the school where Jazmin has very happily spent the past four years of her life.
Thank you all for the tremendous support that you have shown. The number of people who have given freely of their time, money and love to support our daughter Jazmin, many of whom knew her only by her story, is truly amazing.

Jazmin Adamson was born 13 weeks premature weighing 1lb 4oz. She remained in Intensive Care for 4 months and was discharged in November 2002. At 9 months old she was diagnosed with Spastic Quadriplegia Cerebral Palsy. She is currently 6 years old and lives at home with her parents and two younger brothers.
Her parents have spent the last 5 years researching various treatments worldwide which could help with some of Jazmin’s Cerebral Palsy problems.
Stem Cell treatment would appear to be the way forward and China seem to be the leaders in this field, but this comes with costs quoted at over £30,000 for treatment plus expenses for staying 5-6 weeks in Beijing, not to mention costs and enduring the 14 hour flights. There were also concerns over the language barrier.
They continued to scan the World Wide Web and found the “XCell Centre” in Cologne, Germany.
After many telephone calls & Emails to Germany, they are convinced that this centre offers the best package (£12k all-in) to perform the 1 week stem cell treatment in an effort to improve Jazmin's quality of life.
These stem cells are harvested from bone marrow from the patient’s own body ("autologous cells") and the treatment therefore does not come with the ethical or moral concerns often associated with stem cell research involving human embryos.
